2 CDs You Owned

I’m gonna get a little nostalgic in your face.

Growing up, kids make good decisions and bad decisions, as exemplified in their music purchases. Me, I was a soundtrack guy. My first CD was The Major League 2 soundtrack. Like I said, bad decisions. But you gotta admit Tone Loc could rock.

However, I was analyzing the two CDs that I feel quite confidently 95% of America owned at one time or another. Good decision or Bad decision? I’ll let you decide.

Space Jam: Let’s just be honest, Michael Jordan was the man. His movie, awesome. Throw in some cartoons and a little Bill Murray, you’ve got yourself a party. This soundtrack was a must have. Had tracks that are permanently burned into your brain forever, “Everybody get up, it’s time to slam now, we got the real jam goin down..” You Know!

I mean, with time-tested artists like Barry White, Chris Rock, Seal, Coolio, Salt-n-Peppa, D’angelo, and Bugs Bunny himself, you can’t deny the greatness. My choice: Good Decision.

Tubthumping: By Chumbawamba. Don’t even act like you don’t know what I’m talking about. Every time you get in a brawl, and you get knocked down, what do you do? You get back up again, they’re never gonna keep you down. A what are you doin with the night? That’s right. You know!

Obviously, they were a great band and we all know them by their other hits like…um…well, you get the picture. My choice: No Comment.

If you happen to be one of the 12 people in the US of A that didn’t own one of these, just go down to your local pawn shop (aka Overhearing Intelligent Conversations Central) and take your pick of their 40 gazillion in stock.
